The end caps must never be used to block the air supply of a mask while it is being worn. Closed mask and hose systems can cause oxygen deprivation and dangerous CO₂ accumulation.
Mechanically compatible or airtight connections do not guarantee a safe supply of breathable air. The set is not suitable for breath restriction, rebreathing or the construction of closed breathing circuits.
